Country Heritage Organic Backyard Pellets are a blend of certified organic grains which are finely milled and then pressed into a pellet; offering a consistent, nutritionally balanced diet that is ideal for backyard laying chickens.

Typical ingredients include certified organic cereals such as wheat, sorghum, barley, pearl millet and corn. The feed also contains certified organic vegetable protein meals such as soybean meal, safflower meal, sunflower meal, fishmeal, meat meal; and other essential vitamins and minerals. 

These pellets provide a holistic diet for your chickens and provide all the nutrients required to maintain good health, and promote consistent, strong shelled and vibrant yoked eggs. 

Typical feed consumption for backyard hens is between 120g - 140g per head per day. Feed needs to be unrestricted in supply as chickens only eat what they need according to their energy requirements.
