Western BBQ Smoking Wood Chunks Cherry are the ideal choice for pitmasters and barbecue lovers seeking a naturally mild smoke with a distinctive fruity character. Crafted from 100% real cherry wood, these premium smoking chunks deliver a tangy, subtly sweet flavour that enhances food while allowing its natural taste to shine through.
Cherry wood is particularly well suited to lighter meats such as chicken, fish and seafood, creating a delicate smoky finish without overwhelming delicate flavours. It is also highly regarded for adding a rich reddish colour to poultry, sausages and salmon, making your barbecue dishes as visually appealing as they are delicious.
Designed for versatility, these smoking chunks can be used with or instead of charcoal and are compatible with kettle grills, ceramic barbecues, smokers and other outdoor cooking equipment. Each 500 cu in bag provides ample premium hardwood for multiple grilling and smoking sessions.

How to Cook Using Cherry Wood Chunks Only
- Avoid lighter fluid to preserve the natural flavour of the wood.
- Place dry cherry wood chunks in a pyramid over a solid fire starter, leaving one edge exposed.
- Light the fire starter and allow the chunks to burn for approximately 15 to 20 minutes with the lid and vents fully open.
- For a gentler smoke flavour, allow the wood to burn down further before cooking.
- Close the vents and lid, then wait about one minute for any flames to subside.
- Spread the chunks evenly, place food on the grill and cook with the lid closed for optimal smoke circulation and flavour infusion.
How to Use with Charcoal
- For the cleanest flavour, use lump charcoal and a solid fire starter.
- Light the charcoal using your preferred method.
- Add 3 to 5 dry cherry wood chunks to a standard barbecue a few minutes before cooking.
- Use additional chunks when smoking in larger barbecue units.
- Continue adding chunks every 20 to 30 minutes during cooking to maintain a rich, consistent smoky flavour.
Whether you're smoking succulent chicken, grilling fresh fish or creating beautifully coloured salmon and sausages, Western BBQ Cherry Smoking Wood Chunks deliver authentic wood-fired flavour and eye-catching results, helping you achieve restaurant-quality barbecue from your own garden.
