The blend combines composted natural and organic ingredients with fine loam, dressing sand and fertiliser. Its fine particle size allows the top dressing to settle through the grass and reach the soil surface more easily, making it suitable for spreading over established lawns without leaving large, coarse material sitting on top. Searles recommends applying the product at approximately 1–2 cm deep, while keeping the tips of the grass exposed.
