JOHNSON'S Alfalfa Plus

Johnson’s Alfalfa Plus is a high-fibre, high-protein pelleted feed with very low starch and sugar levels, making it an excellent choice for horses and ponies that require a cool, balanced diet. This premium feed is suitable for all horses and ponies – from those in light, medium or hard work to retired or spelling horses, as well as breeding and growing stock.

Its low starch and sugar formulation may assist horses prone to Laminitis, Cushings, Insulin Resistance, Equine Metabolic Syndrome, or those that tie up, providing safe, sustained energy without excess heat.

Feeding Recommendations:

• Introduce gradually over 1–2 weeks.
• Feed alongside roughage such as pasture or hay.
• Can be fed wet or dry, alone or mixed with chaff or grains.
• Ensure horses receive at least 1% of body weight in roughage daily.
• Divide into smaller feeds if exceeding 0.5kg per 100kg body weight per day.
• Always provide access to clean, fresh water.
