Garden Blend is a practical soil blend designed for establishing and topping up garden beds, including areas used for growing vegetables. It provides a nutrient-containing growing medium for gardeners preparing new beds, refreshing existing soil or creating productive planting areas around the home.

Laboratory testing of the analysed Garden Blend sample recorded a loamy sand texture, with measurable levels of available nitrogen and phosphorus. The sample contained 141 mg/kg of total available nitrogen and 350 mg/kg of Colwell phosphorus. The laboratory report classifies the tested sample as an AS4419:2018 Landscape Soil (On Grade) – High Organic/High Phosphorus soil.

The tested sample had a pH of 8.10, placing it within the alkaline range identified in the laboratory report. This is worth considering when selecting plants, as different vegetables, herbs, ornamentals and other garden plants have different soil pH and nutrient requirements.

Garden Blend can be used when building up garden beds, replacing tired soil or adding soil to new planting areas. Its loamy sand texture makes it a versatile option for general landscaping and productive garden applications.

Independent analysis of the tested sample was completed by the Environmental Analysis Laboratory, a NATA-accredited laboratory. Testing included soil texture, pH, electrical conductivity, available nutrients, organic matter and other soil characteristics.

Because individual plants can have different nutrient and pH preferences, consider the requirements of the varieties you intend to grow before planting. In particular, plants that prefer acidic conditions or are sensitive to higher phosphorus levels may require a different soil or additional soil management.
