ROYAL CANIN BREED SPECIFIC FOOD - PERSIAN

Persian cats are known for their long hair, sweet personalities, and laid-back demeanour. They make great pets for people who want a calm and low-maintenance cat. But before you bring one of these beautiful creatures home, there are a few things you should know about their nutritional needs. In this article, we will discuss the Royal Canin Cat Food Requirements for Persian cats.

KITTEN STAGE (0 to 12 months old)

During the 1st growth phase, the kitten's digestive system is still developing, and it continues to do so for the following weeks of its life. It's incredibly important to have food that supports a young kitten's digestive health. They require highly digestible proteins with adapted fibre content. Royal Canin’s Kitten food is available in both wet and dry varieties. However, a combination of both varieties is recommended since they will both assist and strengthen a kitten's natural defences while also providing enough energy for them to get into trouble. Kittens can be very curious creatures so supporting their natural immune defences against them eating grass and dirt is very important. Kittens, like other animals and children, are extremely active as they mature. They're also very lively throughout their infancy, toddler, and youth years which all happens in the space of one year.

ADULT STAGE (12 Months+)

The biggest issue facing the Persian breeds is the long and thick coats. While they will often keep themselves clean, it can often lead to hairballs. So Royal Canin created a food base that will not only help support their skin and coats to avoid excess shedding, but they also focused on hairball reduction. The Persian food contains fibres that help stimulate intestinal transit and naturally limit hairball formations. This item also helps support the overall digestive health of your beautiful Persian cat. This kibble is specially designed to make it easier for the Persian cat to grasp with the underside of their tongues as their flat face can hinder some mouth mobility when eating from a curved bowl.

Royal Canin also suggests looking into other wet food options to mix into the dry food. Healthy Skin & Coat to support their coats, Digestive Performance to help maintain digestive health and finally Healthy Urinary System to support the final step in the digestive process.

WHY NOT COMBINED THEIR FOOD WITH AN ENRICHMENT PRODUCT?
