The special unique colour blend of Red Sea Reef Spec Blue White 15000k is a ratio of 60 to 40 of 6000k and 22000k. It reproduces the natural lighting conditions of tropical reefs between 1 and 20 meter depths. Ideally use in a ratio of 2 to 1 with Reef Spec Actinic for optimal SPS growth and coloration of all corals in aquaria up to a depth of 80cm.

It is important to provide the right intensity of lighting for corals which is approx 1w per litre for T5 fluorescents. By using Red Sea Reef Spec lighting tubes, you can ensure you can achieve not only the correct intensity, but also the correct spectrum for even the most demanding corals such as Small Polyp Stony Corals or SPS. Some of these corals such as Montipora and Seriatopora, have far more demanding requirements than other corals - and the Red Sea Reef Spec can achieve the best results. Corals require strong lighting in order to obtain their energy from the zooxanthellae algae which lives within the coral.
