GARDEN PEBBLES AND STONES

Decorative garden pebbles and stones are a simple yet effective way to add a design aesthetic to your garden. Wallington’s Landscape Supplies has a great selection of stones and pebbles that range in size from 7mm to oversized architectural rocks, in a vast array of colours and neutral tones.

Smaller pebbles around 7mm to 14mm make for a great lawn alternative in areas where the grass can be difficult to grow, or for a low maintenance courtyard. These small stones are also an attractive option for driveways and paths.

For larger garden designs and landscaping projects, in particular, smaller pebbles are great for pathways and edging a garden bed. They can also act as an effective inorganic mulch, helping maintain soil temperatures, retain water and minimise weed penetration.

As an alternative to edging, medium-sized stones can be effective for defining garden beds. You can also use them to create a dry creek bed effect.  As well as being decorative, a dry creek bed is a clever way to avoid localised flooding by directing rainwater across your garden.

Our oversized rocks are ideal as standalone features, or to add focus to graduated plantings. In a smaller courtyard garden, an oversized rock can be especially effective.  Consider placing one in your front yard area, complemented by a pebbled lawn alternative for low maintenance yet dramatic entrance to your home.

For a striking modernist urban design, use polished black pebbles in contrast to snow-white stones on garden beds or paths.  Wallington’s stocks both types of pebbles in bags, available for pick up or delivery.

Wallington’s landscaping supplies have a marvellous choice of coloured stones including Sunset, a naturally smooth pebble ranging in colour from yellow through to pink; Salt Creek in stunning purple to sunset hues; and, Lillycan which varies in colour from cream, through orange and bluish-greys.

Whatever your need or design you want to create, Wallington’s Landscape Supplies has the right stones to suit your purpose.
